After Dinner Drinks

Thursday July 29th - Bishop's Cellar

The summer instalment of After Dinner Drinks will take on the theme of “Beer and Pizza” highlighting many of the amazing craft beers available. We’ll sample many beers from Halifax to Singapore and many breweries and styles in between. Of course the appropriate cuisine for pairing with all of these beers will be served… PIZZA! Croft Pink Port Tasting

Friday July 30th - Bishop's Cellar
5:00pm - 9:00pm

Croft Pink Port is the first of its kind in the world. Croft Pink is Rosé Port produced in a unique style that stays true to the standards but offers a much fresher, fruiter Port than the traditional styles we are used to. Try it on its own or mixed as a cocktail to discover your own “Pink Moment”! This tasting is FREE of charge and no RSVP required.

Staff Summer Favourites

Friday August 6th - Bishop's Cellar
5:00pm - 7:00pm

In May we launched our “Staff Picks” section with great success so we thought it would be appropriate to host a tasting with the same theme! The staff takes on the hard job of doing their homework, trying the wines and reporting back to you. For this tasting we will have each staff pick their favourite wine and share with you why each selection is made. 

We will also be serving the staff’s favourite snacks to accompany our selections. Tickets are $20 at the door. RSVP's are always welcome and can be made via telephone (490-2675) or email.

Blomidon Estate Tasting

Friday August 13th - Bishop's Cellar
4:00pm - 6:00pm

Winemaker Simon Rafuse of Blomidon Estate Winery in the Annapolis Valley will be in-store to taste two of his local wines perfect for summertime. We are very excited to have Simon back in the shop to taste his L’Acadie Blanc and Rose! This tasting is FREE and no RSVP is required.

Wine Lover’s Devotional Book Release

Saturday August 14th - Bishop's Cellar
11:00am - 1:00pm

Founder of the Boston Wine School and Author of the new book, Wine Lover’s Devotional: 365 Days of Kowledge, Advice and Lore for the Ardent Aficionado, Jonathon Alsop will be in-store to read from and sign copies of his new book. To welcome him in true Nova Scotian style we will be opening a few local wines to accompany his wine commentary. This is a FREE event with no RSVP required.

Nova Scotian Gems

The Nova Scotia wine industry has been rapidly growing over the past few years and we’re starting to produce some world class wines. Traditional method sparklings to rival Champagne, crisp and lively whites, and smooth reds are popping up all over the province. Due to the unique nature of our wine growing region we will help you to unravel the mysteries of the hybrid grapes. Stutz Cider Tasting

From the world famous orchards of the Annapolis Valley, renowned for apples and apple lovers comes Stutz Hard Apple Cider – a beverage that is wonderfully refreshing, delightfully refined and slightly rebellious. Stop by the store after the market to enjoy a FREE taste of local cider, no RSVP required.

Just because summer is coming to an end doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! This instalment of After Dinner Drinks will welcome the students back to town by tasting a variety of ‘bang for your buck’ wines and a signature cocktail.
