Who is this class aimed at?
This class is open to all, from the enthusiastic beginner to the self proclaimed connoiseur. It is suitable for casual wine drinkers, those that want to reconfirm their existing knowledge or anyone wanting to work or working in the food and beverage industry.
Course Content
This class provides an excellent foundation to build wine knowledge and develop sensory skills. The class approaches the world of wine by studying different wine styles through an exploration of grape varieties, regions and winemaking techniques. You will learn how evaluate and assess the quality of wine and formulate your own judgements.
Wine appreciation classes are taught by accredited sommelier Alanna McIntyre who graduated from the International Sommelier Guild's certification program in 2002.
